The project involved the construction of a new underground ballroom and event space designed to accommodate in excess of 500 guests, creating a premium venue for large-scale functions and entertainment.

 

A key aspect of the works was the careful integration of the new subterranean structure with an existing heritage-listed building, requiring sensitive construction methods and close coordination to preserve and enhance the heritage fabric while introducing modern functionality.

The scope of works included excavation and construction of the underground ballroom, installation of new vertical circulation elements including lifts to provide seamless access between the existing  building and the new event space, and the creation of a landscaped courtyard to enhance connectivity and guest experience.

 

Additional works comprised high-quality bedroom fit-outs, multiple bars, and fully equipped front-of-house and back-of-house service facilities to support large events.

The project also included comprehensive architectural, interior, and bespoke finishes throughout, delivering a refined and cohesive design outcome aligned with the venue’s operational and aesthetic requirements.
